It is essential to recognise the contributions of our Maintenance Engineer whose role is vital for the efficiency, development and progress of production. We are currently looking for an experienced, organised and competent Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a productive, friendly, and co-operative approach to join our Maintenance team. They will work continuously to improve the production facilities and machine health, minimise the incidents of costly breakdowns and help to develop strategies to improve the overall reliability and safety in the Bakery. What will my role look like? Running of equipment and machinery in the bakery, implementing routine maintenance and organising repairs are key to the Electrical Maintenance Engineers role. They will lead the on-site maintenance team to improve production facilities and machine health, as well as minimising the incidents of costly breakdowns and down time. They will help to develop strategies to improve the overall reliability and safety of the bakery. Role Duties: Carrying out routine preventive maintenance work. Dealing with emergencies and repairs. Arranging procurement of fixtures, fittings and components. Fit new parts and ensure equipment is working correctly and efficiently. Monitor maintenance costs through the control of tools, stores and equipment. Work collaboratively with the Engineering Manager and Bakery Management to plan maintenance activity and improve on-site health & safety. Using the maintenance software system to plan, prioritise and record activity. Regular communication to keep stakeholders informed about activity and issues, including attendance at Daily Production Meetings. Leading on-site maintenance activity in the absence of Engineering Manager. Key Skills: Fully Qualified Electrical Engineer. ONC / HNC Electrical Engineering qualification is preferred. Previous engineering experience within food production is preferred. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proactive, innovative and co-operative approach to work. Ability to adapt working patterns to meet business needs. IT literate, with experience of maintenance systems. Whats in it for me?
