Role Description Contracted to Upstream Risk Management, you will be permanently embedded within Amazon Corporate Security’s (ACS), Global Corporate Security (GCS) team in EMEA. The GCS EMEA team owns all aspects of corporate security for the region and drives the strategic vision of ACS, to protect and secure the business and all people at Amazon Corporate locations (not Amazon Operations or Amazon Web Services). The Regional Program Manager (RPM) plans, executes and scales projects and programs at the regional and global level, within an operations team. The RPM challenges the current way of working and drives strategic and complex improvement initiatives at a global, regional or subregional level. The RPM is the project and program management expert for the region, and will provide advice and guidance to team members, allowing them to raise the bar on project and program delivery. The RPM is the line manager of the regional Events Security team. The role would suit a detail-oriented professional who enjoys a ‘deliver fast’ yet customer-focused role in a high-speed working environment. Strong stakeholder management skills are pivotal to being successful in this role. The RPM reports to the Regional Operations Manager and closely collaborates with other RPMs and Regional/Area Security Managers within and beyond the region with the aim of raising the bar on security operations. The position is based at Amazon UK HQ (Liverpool Street, London), though candidates close to Amazon Corporate offices in other locations may be considered. Some overseas travel (3-4 trips per year), will be necessary when delivering projects or meeting with key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: End-to-end project management: Own the planning, development, delivery and review of regional and global projects and programs that help drive both the organizational strategy and short-term operational needs. Drive continuous process improvement by collaborating with multiple global stakeholders on design of new solutions that drive operational excellence. Serve as the primary liaison with other GCS Regional Program Managers and counterparts across ACS, to ensure organizational alignment on best practices, deconflict regional project initiatives, and have a thorough understanding of the organization’s objectives and key results. Act as a project management expert across GCS EMEA, leveraging and advising team members on best practices for project and program management while embracing Amazon’s peculiar ways of working. Apply change management methodology to conduct periodic review of global programs to monitor processes and drive efficiency and proactively identify opportunities and initiatives that add value to GCS and ACS, streamline the current way of working, and provide scalable solutions. The Ideal Candidate Knowledge and Experience: 5 years’ experience in a fast-moving corporate environment or equivalent (essential). Experience in end-to-end project management (essential). Experience working with diverse and senior stakeholders (highly desirable). Experience in corporate security (desirable). Skills: Planning and prioritization. Stakeholder management.
