Role : Substation Project Engineer Sector : Transmission Location : Hybrid with attendance to client's offices in Scotland Duration : 6 months Likely Extension Rates : £650 Daily Rate Inside IR35 via Umbrella Clearance : BPSS Full UK Working Rights required Key Duties: Creating outline scope, site location plans, primary plant layout and Single Line Diagrams for new build and asset replacement type projects, operating up to 400kV. Reviewing contractor/consultants detailed designs and witnessing FAT. Implementing safety by design principles to ensure that engineering and safety risks are adequately controlled. Support site and operational teams to ensure the quality of installations, with minimal risk to Network security. Evaluate tenders and procure and manage specialist services from consultants Essential requirements: Candidates must hold a minimum of HND in electrical engineering Previous Transmission experience required. 3 Years substation project engineer experience up to 400kV Proven experience in HV substation design, operation, and maintenance.
