An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cardio-Respiratory service at Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic Respiratory / Sleep Physiologist to join our busy expanding and evolving service.
To independently perform a range of clinical diagnostic procedures and investigations for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disordered breathing conditions and respiratory conditions.
We invite candidates who have the competency necessary to analyse, interpret and report the results of investigation in an appropriate manner to patients and healthcare professionals. The successful applicant must liaise and work closely with a team of Cardio-Respiratory Physiologists to develop and improve services within Hywel Dda University Health Board.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible within a team to deliver respiratory and sleep diagnostic services to the population of Hywel Dda University Health Board. They will be responsible to plan and perform diagnostic respiratory and sleep assessments in accordance with local and national guidelines. A list of potential procedures/assessments can be found within the job description.
The post holder will be expected to work alongside Advanced Clinical Physiologists and Physicians to deliver complex diagnostic assessments within the specialised field. They will liaise closely with clinical and technical specialists within this area to resolve any issues which may arise.
The post holder will also provide clinical support and be an accessible resource for healthcare and other interested professionals within the health board. The post holder will be expected to ensure the smooth running of the service by undertaking clerical duties, if required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Qualifications & Knowledge
* Registration Council for Clinical Physiologist (RCCP) or Academy for Healthcare Sciences (AHCS) or pending
* BSc Clinical Physiology (Respiratory) or equivalent and clinical experience.
* Good working knowledge and evidence of - clinical governance, audit and research, quality Standards, clinical leadership
* Association for Respiratory Technology and Physiology (ARTP), Part 1 & 2.
* Recognised qualification in teaching or mentorship.
* European Computer Driving License
* ILS.
Experience
* Experience and proven competence of performing the range of respiratory investigations during training.
* Experience of teaching and mentoring, organising and delivering training packages.
Language Skills
* Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
