We are delighted to be opening Trafford Waters Care Home in March 2025 and would like to invite you to come along for the exciting journey! Trafford Waters is based in the heart of the Trafford community, and we are ready to start building our elite team.
You will oversee the day our residents have in terms of fun! You can work with them to decide what they will enjoy, what will keep them engaged and stimulated.
At Trafford Waters, we are looking for someone who can engage, create fun, listen to the residents, be empathetic to their needs, and have that fun and enthusiastic air about them. It is such an important position and a fun one too!
As a Lifestyle Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and implementing activities appropriate to clients’ needs and requests. You will assist the Registered Manager to organise fundraising events, get to know each resident and their needs, ensure residents settle into Trafford Waters happily, and make them feel at home and welcome.
Responsibilities:
1. Help clients to socialise within the care home and provide a diverse variety of activities that cater for all individuals.
2. Accompany clients to off-site activities, which may occasionally take place outside normal working hours.
3. Assist with fundraising and budgeting for entertainments, materials, and outings.
4. Maintain full and accurate records of daily activities, using appropriate documentation and assist the named carer to review and update client care files.
5. Provide comfort and company on a one-to-one basis for clients who are unable to undertake any form of activity.
6. Actively market the care home and promote a positive personal/professional profile within the local community.
7. Help to create an atmosphere that suits individual clients within the care home.
8. Undertake all the administration for activities, including production of the monthly newsletter, posters, booking of acts, and transport required for activities.
9. Distribute post and newspapers to residents.
10. Be a listening ear to pass on concerns or queries, helping residents feel settled.
11. Ensure your own personal space feels as homely as residents want it to be.
12. Ensure your residents are comfortable and liaise as necessary with housekeeping/maintenance/care team leaders/catering/hairdressing/chiropody.
13. Help with correspondence/banking/shopping/post office/library/booking a table at a restaurant/keeping in touch with family/e-mailing/phoning.
14. Spend one-to-one time with residents, e.g., looking at photo albums, general chatting, reading, and talking.
15. Adapt and create an atmosphere that suits individual residents and their needs.
