Somerton Town Council is a forward thinking-council, at the centre of a thriving community, and has a vacancy for a newly created position of Business Administrator. The ideal candidate needs to be an enthusiastic individual with lots of energy and the confidence to take things forward to support the prompt implementation of Council decisions, efficient delivery of services, management of events and progress on projects to meet the Council’s objectives for the benefit of residents and visitors to Somerton.
Working under the direction of the Town Clerk, you will be responsible for providing administrative support for some Council meetings and assist with the day-to-day management of the Council’s property, services and website.
Areas of day-to-day responsibility include, supporting Council events, planning and delivery of Council projects in collaboration with all stakeholders, internal communications and progressively external communications and to support and report to Council and Committee meetings and carrying out follow-up actions.
