Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plumber / Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various plumbing and pipefitting tasks. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. A commitment to safety and quality workmanship is essential.
Duties
1. Install and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures in accordance with specifications and building codes.
2. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete plumbing tasks.
3. Perform welding tasks including stick welding and soldering as required for pipe connections.
4. Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
5. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project completion.
6. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
7. Troubleshoot plumbing problems and implement effective solutions promptly.
Experience
1. Proven experience as a plumber or pipefitter is highly desirable.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
3. Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
4. Experience in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is essential.
5. A valid plumbing qualification or apprenticeship is an advantage but not mandatory for skilled individuals demonstrating relevant experience.
