Principal Psychologist - Crisis House and ICAH

We are looking for an enthusiastic Principal Clinical or Counselling psychologist to join our well-respected and exciting Inpatient and Acute Psychology Service. The team is at the forefront of national developments in inpatient and acute working. We are also actively involved in research and keen to recruit people who share that vision of contributing to best practice, national guidelines, and an evidence base.
The post holder will join a well-established psychology service for people in crisis and will work as an integral member of our Crisis Provision including the ICAH 24/7 hub and the newly commissioned Crisis House. The role will involve creative and thoughtful input including offering consultation, training, clinical leadership, supervision, and ensuring a high-quality service is provided to people in crisis. The role will involve working with a person's support system and carers. It will also involve working closely with third sector partners to ensure the person's experience of crisis support is of high quality.

About us
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period unless you are currently partway through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff.
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735) (pro rata for part-time staff).

Person Specification
Experience / Qualifications
* Must have a doctoral degree in either Clinical or Counselling Psychology
* Experience of working within a clinical health setting
Training / Experience
* Experience of supervising trainee psychologists
Must have experience of working in Crisis and Acute Psychology
* Must have experience of working in an acute or crisis mental health setting
