As a Lab Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supervising and supporting daily operations of our lab support function. You will work closely with the team to ensure flawless execution of schedules and contribute to our world-class research efforts. Please note that you shall undertake lab support tasks hands-on work (60% lab-based) Key responsibilities: Coordinate and plan daily tasks and workload, ensuring smooth operations across various building areas. Train staff in new techniques and onboard new team members effectively. Complete daily, weekly, or monthly tasks according to the Level 0 daily plan. Conduct technical reviews of lab support tasks to maintain high standards. Act as a mentor and role model for new staff and junior team members. Manage updates to departmental DMS documents. Monitor task completion and advance issues as necessary to ensure seamless workflow. Demonstrate full flexibility in delivering tasks across multiple laboratory areas. Collaborate with the Team Lead to gather and report critical metrics. Identify and implement enhancements to improve customer happiness and operational efficiency. Serve as a deputy for the Team Lead, including running Level 0s and attending Level 1 meetings as needed. Maintain an entry-level understanding of Quality Records to ensure compliance. Key requirements: Demonstrate a proven understanding of internal and external customer needs to deliver outstanding service. Take proactive action to improve customer happiness within the scope of the role. Consistently achieve goals while closely monitoring critical metrics in collaboration with the Team Lead. Exhibit excellent mentoring skills by balancing listening and speaking to embrace different perspectives. Apply business knowledge to make accurate and timely decisions. Proactively express ideas for improvement within the business area. Seek and reflect on feedback to continuously improve personal and team performance.
