Scope Applications are invited for the position of Systems Engineer - Safety and Reliability. You will perform this varied role as part of the System team and will require you to work with reliability teams across all sites. To strengthen the Safety and Reliability capability and to develop our systems integration team the engineer will be required to provide reliability and Safety support and expertise to a number of IPTs developing landing gears and landing gear systems for large aircraft. The engineer will be required to perform reliability and safety analyses to include FMEA and FTA. The engineer will make assessments of hydro-mechanical and electrical designs and system architectures and identify areas for improvement. The engineer will be able to interpret customer requirements and understand impact upon the design. You will be able to support the systems team in requirement management in order to validate requirements and define verification activities. You will be responsible for recording and managing the reliability data monitoring for landing gear equipment. Close involvement with the Customer service department and IPT. Responsibilities Calculation of reliability and safety data Focal point for the reliability monitoring Data collection on in-service events Produce corresponding reports and documentation Participate in Systems architecture definition Participate in technical reviews with suppliers and customers during the project life cycle Perform reliability and safety analysis and assessments of hydro-mechanical and electrical design Perform reliability and safety analysis : Perform failure mode and effect analysis and fault tree analysis Problem investigation Required Skills Knowledge of landing gear systems. Knowledge of mechanical engineering and hydraulics. Knowledge of systems and electrical engineering. Knowledge of airworthiness requirements and certification. Knowledge of systems engineering theory together with a familiarity with ARP4754 and ARP 4761 Knowledge of requirements management, validation, verification and preferably DOORS Ability to write technical reports clearly and accurately. Ability and willingness to communicate and work with all disciplines of engineering.
