Project Manager Civil Engineering, Utilities Newport, South Wales £450 per day PAYE / £550 per day Umbrella PAYE 12 months Job Ref: J(phone number removed) We require a Project Manager for a Civils and Utility project in the Newport area for a 12 month contract. Job Detail: What are the core duties? What will they be responsible for? They are client facing, over 3 or 4 teams of people, a site or project manager, the highways people in house, the subcontractors, the drilling company, various other stakeholders including Traffiq Cymru / Traffic Wale, labour (in house or external) Programme management / P6 planning Logistics Procurement Labour and materials Sorting external subcontractors (or in house labour) Health and safety Change (and anticipate change) Making sure change is logged formally Making sure the Early Warning Notices are logged Making sure any documentation can be audited What will they be doing daily? Liaising with the client, making sure everything is where is needs to be, the procurement and design is sorted Most Important Things: Needs to have civil knowledge and knowledge of drilling (auger bore or Horizontal Directional Drilling), minimum of a HNC (ideally a degree or NVQ Level 7) Needs to be a project Manager or senior project manager with NEC 3 or 4 knowledge Prince 2 or a APM qualification They need to have a knowledge of CDM and ideally be trained in it P6 planning knowledge Desirable Things? Knowledge of AutoCAD Knowledge of CEMAR / ThinkTools (Built Asset Lifecycle Software) Essential qualifications and / or competencies?
