Business Support Administrator
Bedfordshire (with some travel to other sites)

Main Purpose of the Role:
* To provide an effective and efficient administrative service for Bedfordshire Police, including business support administration to the Local Policing / Crime & PPU / Intel / SSID department.
* To contribute to achieving the vision, purpose, and values of Bedfordshire Police.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a range of administrative support duties for the Local Policing / Crime & PPU / Intel / SSID department, including:
* Producing emails, letters, and other correspondence using MS Windows software and Bedfordshire Police ICT.
* Booking meetings, including sending agendas and background papers.
* Liaising with appropriate individuals to ensure necessary pre-meeting notes or briefings are obtained.
* Attending meetings and preparing and maintaining decision and action logs, ensuring documents are circulated promptly in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements.
* Maintaining a comprehensive electronic filing/storage system for departmental correspondence and key documents using SharePoint and OneNote.
* Providing diary management, including booking meetings and rooms on Police estates.
* Providing transactional itinerary planning for travel as required.
* Providing cover for team colleagues as necessary.
* Controlling and handling documents in accordance with protective marking requirements.
* Supporting the completion of individual and departmental records (e.g., time sheets, expenses, stakeholder lists, and hospitality paperwork).
* Facilitating the resolution of ICT technical problems where possible.
Entry Requirements:
* Good standard of verbal and written communication skills for correspondence and reports, able to communicate clearly face to face and over the telephone.
* Strong administrative experience.
* Ability to organise meetings effectively.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
* Ability to prioritise workloads based on importance and timescales.
* Strong IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including MS Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Mail Merge, SharePoint, and OneNote.
* Able to work independently and unsupervised, as well as in a team environment.
* Experience dealing with people at all levels.
* Able to undertake administrative work accurately and methodically.
* Experience working within a customer-focused environment.
