As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll show demonstrable experience working in a modern ITIL-based IT service organisation, ability to collaborate effectively, and experience of managing a complex, national multi-site infrastructure. You'll be an analytical thinker, with experience of using data to drive action and a good understanding of healthcare engineering.
In this Infrastructure Engineer role, you will work as part of a dedicated project team to deliver a defined business outcome. You will be deployed to provide server hosting and identity expertise to support the implementation of a new health Care Imaging Platform.
This is a pivotal role in delivering robust, secure, and compliant healthcare solutions.
Your key responsibilities include:
1. Working side-by-side with the Architect and network engineer, to take the high-level solution design, and create a low-level design for the hosting element of the solution.
2. Support the deployment of healthcare systems by implementing Windows hosting environments to existing standards as required.
3. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve hosting infrastructure issues to ensure high availability and performance.
4. Update and maintain Active Directory, Azure environments, Entra ID, and Single Sign-On (SSO) configurations.
5. Work with VMware Virtualisation platforms.
6. Collaborate with internal project managers and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with project goals and business requirements.
7. Work closely with healthcare third parties to integrate and support system interoperability and compliance with industry standards.
8. Ensure adherence to security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements within the healthcare sector.
9. Document infrastructure, workflows, and processes to maintain operational excellence.
The key requirements for the Infrastructure Engineer role include:
1. Demonstrable experience setting up and configuring secure on-premise environments.
2. Strong knowledge of Window Operating Systems and server administration.
3. Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols.
4. Previous experience and knowledge around Active Directory, Azure environments, Entra ID, and Single Sign-On (SSO) configurations.
5. Excellent infrastructure management, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
