The postholder will provide surveying assistance to the company's land surveyors. Duties include (after initial training) but are not limited to using the survey instrumentation to collect survey data ,ensuring equipment is maintained, assisting the surveyor in the execution of the land surveys, post processing survey data and general duties in the office and stores.
We require:

- Ability to work under pressure to achieve project deadlines.
- Willingness to work overtime during the week and at weekends as survey projects demand.
- Willingness to work away from home during the week and at weekends as survey projects demand.
- Willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Work in conjunction with the other survey assistants to ensure that all equipment is maintained and cleaned after each days work.
- A basic knowledge of Maths and an interest in geography would be advantageous.
- Engaging and assertive interpersonal skills, including ability to liaise with staff at all levels of the company.
- Quickly grasps requirements of the organization.
- The ability to take instruction and follow procedure.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- After initial training fast, accurate use of the surveying equipment.
- A full, clean driving licence is preferable or working towards passing a driving test.
We will provide full training, with the postholder working towards a PTS qualification upon successful completion of a probationary period. Other relevant courses will also be available. Full PPE will be provided. Due to insurance restrictions, applicants must be at least 17 years of age or above.
