Role: PCN IPS Operations Manager
Salary: £45,000 per annum

Working hours: Full Time (37.5 hrs pw)
Location: Between Derby City, Bassetlaw and Mid-Nottinghamshire

We are looking for an Operations Manager to take direct responsibility for the effective performance of contracts, ensuring they are delivered within budget and to agreed quality standards. You will oversee referrals, fidelity standards, and compliance with policies, safeguarding, and clinical guidelines. Through remote, direct, and indirect management, you will address workflow issues and ensure key milestones in the participant journey are achieved. This role also involves strategic leadership of Clinical Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Services, requiring an expert understanding of IPS, the fidelity scale, and the IPS fidelity manual.
What you’ll do
• Ensure IPS Team Managers, IPS Team Managers and Employment Specialists are delivering a high standard of service following the 8 Principles of IPS and Fidelity framework
• Oversee and support Team Managers and PCN IPS Team Managers to ensure regular fidelity reviews are carried out at all IPS sites and develop a responsive action plan and review to ensure continuous service improvement
• Reporting and disseminating analysis of MI to senior management and reports as necessary
• Proposing and implementing changes to operational processes in conjunction with other teams and the Risk management function to ensure maximal utilisation and productivity of the teams that report to the role
• Manage a regular formal programme of interaction with site specific staffing to ensure their needs are met by the teams within the remit of this role
• Complete set reports for Funding organisations (local authority based on DWP funding) as and when required
• Use MI data to review/forecast Participant costs
• Pre-validates and checks files regularly where necessary
• Have overall responsibility for Safeguarding within their operational area, leading on the implementation of Standguide’s safeguarding policy and procedure. This responsibility cannot be delegated, although where applicable, support can be provided by an appointed Designated Safeguarding Officer for their area
• Ensuring all staff within your operational area have access to and understands Standguide’s and Prime’s safeguarding policy and procedures and how to report a concern. This includes liaising with Standguide’s Learning & Development team and Safeguarding Lead to ensure all new starters receive training and that refresher training is delivered.
What you’ll need
• Level 2 English and Maths as a minimum and a minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma
• Degree or relevant qualification. Degree topics may include psychology, sociology, social care/science. Relevant qualifications would include Information Advice and Guidance NVQs, Brokerage Standard, Social Work qualifications or qualifications relating to work-based learning with the specific client groups this role will involve.
• Extensive experience of team management across multiple sites and multiple contracts within the Welfare to Work sector
• Experience and understanding of the design and implementation of complex operational processes across multiple teams
• Experience of working on programmes targeting relevant disadvantaged groups in society
• Experience of delivering learning programs
• Strong understanding of publicly funded contracts
• Full UK driving license as this role requires travel between locations.
Overseas equivalent qualifications will be accepted.
