A transformative company with a technical team of 45+ spread throughout Europe is now looking for an additional mid-level Data Scientist to join their Manchester cohort.
Having embraced Data Science as early adopters, the team has allowed it to permeate the business and business decisions. Now, they’re once again stepping up their game (quite literally) to ensure their platforms are seamless, and their customers’ journey – unparalleled.
The Data Scientist will report directly to the senior scientist, providing ample opportunities for continued and hands-on learning and development within the role. You’ll be working on some core Machine Learning aspects such as:
Whilst no day-to-day will look the same – and frankly – why should it? Some overarching constants in the role will include:
* Designing and implementing features to drive business outcomes.
* Optimization, scaling, and pruning of existing models to boost efficiency.
* Working with the senior to perform A-B testing, ensuring models are fit-for-purpose and running smoothly.
* Collaborating with a broader team of data engineers, data scientists, architects, a PO, and more to ensure products are future-proofed, you’re up-to-date with new advancements in the area, and that actionable takeaways are, well, actioned.
To succeed, you’ll need to possess:
* Strong Python/SQL skills + a cloud (ideally AWS but Azure/GCP also fine).
* Strong knowledge of AI/ML, statistics, and coding using open-source libraries and frameworks.
* Strong experience building machine learning models that can influence business decision making.
* Be based in the North-West, this is a hybrid role!
If you're based in the North-West without need of visa sponsorship now or in the future please reach out!
