Salary: Dependent on experience; up to UPS3 + SEN Allowance of £2,539.00 p.a. (ECT applicants welcomed)

Farney Close is a mixed independent residential special school for children aged 9 -18 who are in receipt of an (EHCP) because they experience a range of special needs including social, emotional and mental health needs. Specific Learning Difficulties such as Autistic Spectrum Conditions, ADHD, Dyslexia or a range of cognitive and processing needs
Situated on the A272 and the A23 intersection at Bolney, West Sussex, the school has an established and very successful reputation, achieving numerous outstanding and good Ofsted inspection judgements for educational and care provisions over the last decade.
The successful candidate for this one-year fixed term contract will be either an outstanding, inclusive practitioner or an enthusiastic ECT. Experience of teaching Key Stage 4, including planning, delivering and assessing bespoke creative teaching programmes within the expectations of the National Curriculum is essential.
Responsible to the Head of Education, Teachers have responsibility for devising and teaching the curriculum and assessing and reporting pupil progress. They will have experience of safeguarding systems; high expectations of their pupils and a proven ability to use positive behaviour management strategies effectively to support pupils with challenging behaviour.
Knowledge and experience of working with pupils with SEMH, ASC, SpLD, MLD and Trauma and Attachment and/or a specialist teaching qualification at level 5 or above would be an advantage but not essential.
