Role Purpose:
The Service Design Architect is a senior and experienced role responsible for the design and creation of service solutions in response to requirements from customers or our product team. The scope of the service solution will cover all aspects of insourcing, outsourcing and support, including non-functional requirements such as incident, problem & change management processes, configuration & knowledge management, monitoring, support models & blueprints, remote management and service improvement, for both new business and renewal of existing contracted services.
Key Accountabilities:
* Service Design documents, operating models that are in line with Service Strategy and that enable the smooth transition of services into Operations
* Produces Service Requirements for Service Level Objectives, Operating Level Agreements, and supplier Underpinning Contracts
* Cost models / models of operating expense (Opex) for Trial & Enduring services
* Contributes and responds to bid requests, impact assessments, product development and proof of concepts, working closely with Product & Commercial teams
* Understanding impact to operating and support models of incoming demand
* Draft Customer Journey's to help as a visual aid for customers using the service
* Produce the Service Design deliverables for Definition and Design phases, including changes to the service model
* Establish assumptions and risks to the solution, manage these throughout the lifecycle of the solution creation before handing over to transition team
* Ensure appropriate service schedules are created in line with the solution design for contract submission
Qualifications:
* A strong understanding of Service Management with ITIL, VeriSM and / or SIAM qualifications
* Business analysis qualification an advantage
Required Expertise:
* Experience leading a virtual team across business and technical functions
* Experience of working in Telecomms, Media or Utilities an advantage
Required Technical / Professional Skillset(s):
* Experience in designing services and service offerings, operating models, service modelling, requirements management and process engineering.
* Experience producing initial estimates, and being able to elicit and document detail as the project progresses
* Ability to understand complex customer requirements
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* An awareness of Six Sigma / Lean desirable
* Experience of using Jira and ServiceNow desirable
