Main duties of the job Are you an organised, detail orientated administrator looking for a rewarding career in healthcare supporting our vulnerable patients in the community? Look no further, we are seeking a committed administrator to join out Team in Mid or North Hampshire Responsibilities will include managing patient referrals from GP surgeries, Hospitals, Hospices and other care providers. You will work closely with our community nurses to ensure the patient gets the right care they need. You will need to have a confident telephone manner and be able to communicate effectively with both our patients, relatives and nurses ensuring dignity and respect is maintained at all times.You will need to be task orientated and be able to work under pressure but also accurately. Being a Team player is essential. The team provides an essential service that will include taking a variety of calls daily from patients, carers, relatives, GPs, hospitals and other health care providers. These calls are to be answered in a timely manner and accuracy is essential in recording of information, we pride ourselves on the work that is produced and always ask for a quality over quantity approach. These ensure the highest level of service is provided to all. Along side the calls we have an email inbox where similar requests and referrals will be received, and again these are to be accurately accounted for and treated with the same respect as a service user who has called into the service.
