We are working with a premier national control system integrator to recruit a ICA service engineering lead.
What are we looking for?
PLC experience (be able to go online, fault find, take back ups, modify code)
Consistent work history with longevity
Water / process instrumentation and calibration experience
Electrical experience (118th edition & electrical maintenance experience)
Commercial / Contract experience Whilst half of your role will be working with client-side engineers to augmnet projects and conduct site surveys, the is still a hands on operational role working on different sites carrying out PPMs and small control system upgrade projects for automated Environmental Agency flood defence sites located in the South East of England.
Outside of the EA sites, you’ll also carry out PPM for PLC controlled automated assets on places like:
Wimbledon Centre Court Retractable Roof
London Eye,
Tower Bridge. What stands out about this role?
DEVELOPMENT: Company will provide you with PLC software training that you can deploy immediately on small projects to boost your software confidence
REMOTE LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY: as we grow the team, this role will turn into a fully remote team lead role managing other local controls technicians The sites you will be covering are all based in the South East of England. The ideal candidate will be located in Reading / Slough / Didcot
The ideal candidate will have some man-management experience like mentoring or delegating to other service engineers and be regularly working with PLCs in a role where you are:
- Fault finding PLCs
- Carrying out Instrumentation Calibration
- Pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance
- Attending breakdowns
