A career-defining opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Compliance and Governance Professional to join EG Group's expanding Legal Team.
This senior role offers a unique blend of challenge and responsibility, working closely with the Deputy Company Secretary and other senior management to ensure all company secretarial duties are completed in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and files, liaising with local country legal and cosec teams, organizing and preparing board and committee meetings, and ensuring statutory filings are completed accurately and on time.
In addition, this individual will provide support and advice to the board of directors and senior management on company secretarial matters, project manage and assist with the preparation and distribution of annual reports, and help design and deliver group-wide governance and compliance framework.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Deputy Company Secretary in managing all company secretarial duties
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files
* Liaise with local country legal and cosec teams
* Organize and prepare board and committee meetings
* Ensure statutory filings are completed accurately and on time
* Maintain the company's statutory registers
* Provide support and advice to the board of directors and senior management
* Project manage and assist with the preparation and distribution of annual reports
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need strong knowledge of company law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in computer skills, including SharePoint, Blueprint, and Diligent Entities or other software platform.
You should also be proactive and business-minded, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within strict deadlines.
Furthermore, you will have confident written and oral communication skills, ability to build long-lasting working relationships with individuals across all levels of a company.
