The Department has a substantial research programme, with major funding from Medical Research Council (MRC), Wellcome Trust and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and provides highly rated medical training in psychiatry. The Head of Department is Professor Belinda Lennox. We are looking to appoint a Research Assistant to join the Oxford Precision Psychiatry Lab (OxPPL). Led by Professor Andrea Cipriani, OxPPL is an international multidisciplinary group of researchers, clinicians (both Psychiatrists and Psychologists), statisticians and methodologists who are passionate about improving the lives of people with mental illness across the lifespan. The post is full time (consideration would be given to candidates wishing to work part time (minimum 80% FTE). You will work on a Wellcome funded project, conducting an evidence synthesis program of living systematic reviews about early phase studies in depression, anxiety, and psychosis. You will follow a rigorous and systematic process throughout all the key steps of living evidence synthesis (reference/paper selection, data extraction, critical appraisal). About You You will have an undergraduate degree (2:1 or 1st) in a relevant area (biomedical science, experimental psychology), along with a good understanding of PICO/PECO and other adaptations across different study designs. Familiarity with the different study designs expertise and their unique characteristics is also essential. Prior experience with large (international) evidence synthesis projects of human and non-human studies would be desirable.
