SEN Teaching Assistant- Romsey
Prospero Teaching are working with a fantastic mixed Secondary School located in Fareham. The School are rated as ‘ Good’ by Ofsted, with a great ethos and reputation in the local area.
The School are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to start in September on either a full time or part time basis. Hours are am to pm, term time only.
This is a highly rewarding role. The School are looking for individuals that are supportive, non-judgemental, patient, easy to talk to, positive and flexible. You must be able to speak to pupils in a manner which encourages and supports them, enabling you to build trusting relationships.
You will be supporting pupils with ASD and SEMH, predominantly on a 1:1 basis in the classroom. There will also be opportunities to mentor students and provide small group interventions.
Previous experience of working with young people is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided along with a very supportive team of staff. A team player with patience, understanding and a willingness to develop is required.
This role is ideal for graduates and aspiring teachers who are looking to gain more experience prior to applying for teacher training. If you also have experience in youth work, sports coaching, or support work, please also apply.

4. Contract type – Temporary to Permanent
5. Full time/part time – Monday to Friday am to pm
6. Minimum rate of pay – £90 per day ( negotiable depending on experience)
