Senior Technician - Bromley Position: Senior Technician Location: Bromley Area Salary: circa £40,000 p.a. Plus Benefits Job Type: 40 hours Permanent Closing Date: 26th November 2024 Key Duties: Supervise the team of technicians, offering support and guidance to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently Make sure the team are working safely, always prioritising Health and Safety in all works completed Develop and train junior team members and apprentices as required to excel in their roles. Ensure the completion the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and CAFM system is updated. Support the team to respond promptly and positively to service call requests received from the CAFM system, to assess the requirements of the job and conduct repairs as and where necessary and update the CAFM system. Prioritise fabric/electrical/mechanical maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times. Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement. Ensure that compliance documentation is always completed and up to date. Advise the on-site customer (manager) of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the site. Conduct minor alterations and installations within the individual's technical competence and in accordance with current specifications, or support the technicians in completing this if within their qualified skillset. Complete small electrical/mechanical/Fabric installation projects and refurbishments within skill set. Always comply with the company Health and Safety Policy, ensuring a safety first approach is taken at all times Always represent Mytime Active and the Asset Department in a professional manner and develop a good working relationship with our internal customers and staff. To provide detailed quotations to the Contract Manager to allow for the purchase of parts and materials. To take on any other duties as may be required, commensurate with the post and to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality effective services for Mytime Active. Knowledge & Skills: Identifying technical issues and faults, finding quick, safe, and economical solutions. Effective communication, administration and organisation skills Knowledge of Health and Safety, including risk assessments, permits to work and COSHH. An understanding and appreciation of the needs of Facility Management to enable them to provide the best possible service to our customers. The ability to conduct minor maintenance works - DIY, Carpentry, Plumbing and Electrical works Qualifications & Experience: Previous building maintenance experience with fabric, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing qualifications Experience working in a similar environment Apprenticeship and qualification in, in Building Fabric, Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing City & Guilds or Equivalent. Role requirements: Full UK driving licence. Must be able to attend evening and weekend meetings/events when required and travel between sites.
