An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and experienced health librarian to join the team at our Medical Library as Liaison Librarian, delivering and developing services for Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Reporting to the Head of Medical Library Services, you will work closely with the Liaison Librarian for the School of Clinical Medicine and will manage a Library Assistant. You will also work very closely with multi-disciplinary NHS staff.
You will play an active part in delivering and developing services in literature searching, current awareness, information skills training, and more. You will creatively promote the library services by developing relationships with NHS colleagues and raising awareness through outreach activities.
We are open to candidates with varying levels of experience and are willing to under-appoint the position at Grade 5 and provide training support for candidates who do not have experience in the following areas:
1. medical or health librarianship.
2. experience of supporting systematic reviews.
3. knowledge of issues related to delivering library services to the NHS community.
Candidates with experience of the above are welcomed and will be considered for the higher appointment.
