Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef Manager to join our team Weeton Barracks, Preston PR4 3JQ. There may also be a requirement to work at Fulwood Barracks, Preston, PR2 8AA as needed.
The Chef Manager will oversee all aspects of catering operations, within the Officers, Sergeant and ASLS Buildings specifically supporting corporate meetings and private functions. This role involves managing a team of nine staff, ensuring events meet profitability goals, adhere to food safety regulations, and maintain high-quality standards. You will be responsible for daily operational oversight, staff management, budgeting, and delivering an outstanding client experience.

To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements: you must have been a UK for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

A day in the life of a Chef Manager:
* Lead and manage a team of catering staff, scheduling rotas, providing direction and support to sustain Aramark’s high standards.
* Plan, organise, and execute catering services for corporate meetings and private functions.
* Ensure all events are on-budget and profitable, monitoring cost controls and maintaining profit margins using the company computer systems.
* Oversee compliance with food safety regulations, ensure recipe cards are strictly followed, and enforce quality standards.
* Build and maintain client relationships, ensuring their catering needs are met with high satisfaction.
* Coordinate logistics, including event setup, transportation, inventory management, and scheduling.
You will be set up for success if you have:
* Proven experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality or food service industry.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of nine.
* Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on detail and compliance.
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and industry regulations.
* Flexibility to work some weekends when events are booked.
