Our client is seeking a Senior Research Grants Officer to provide comprehensive support throughout the lifecycle of research grants within their dynamic and growing department. This is a full-time, fixed-term role with a 2-year contract, offering a great opportunity for someone with a passion for research administration and strong analytical skills. Key Responsibilities: Support the full research grant life cycle, from application to closure, including both pre- and post-award processes. Collaborate closely with academic staff, professional services teams, and colleagues across the Faculty and Research Management & Innovation Directorate (RMID) to ensure effective management and reporting of research grants. Provide high-quality administrative support with a focus on research grant management, tracking, and reporting. Prepare and present monthly grant reports for Principal Investigators, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting against budgets. Interpret complex financial data and communicate key figures to a wide range of stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Key Skills & Experience: Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and reports. Proficiency in Excel and Power BI is essential for reporting and data visualisation. Prior experience in research grant management or a similar administrative role is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial and research data to a non-technical audience. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
