About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our school site team.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Checking for spillages in classrooms and making safe
2. Assisting with lockup procedure when necessary.
3. Comfortable with key-holding duties.
4. Closing windows and locking doors
5. Turning lights off
6. Turning electrical equipment off
7. Setting alarm, locking up and securing the premises.
8. Assisting with statutory compliance checks, e.g. water temperatures, fire alarm checks, assist with emergency lighting checks, water flushing etc (some knowledge in site statutory compliance would be preferred but training can be provided)

We are an independent specialist day school in Bury, Greater Manchester designed with a state-of-the-art learning environment which has been created to meet the needs of young people with autism. Here at Mill School, we are experienced at working with young people who have been out of education for a period of time or who have become school phobic.
