About The Role
An opportunity has arisen to join the team at Ipswich port as a weighbridge operative. The site is a busy operation where materials are imported via sea and loaded onto HGVs and trains out into the local construction market. You will become a member of a close knit team ensuring a high level of customer service. You will report to the Site supervisor.
About Your Role
1. Operate the weighbridge system in an efficient manner in line with the company procedures.
2. Be the initial contact for customers, contractors and visitors to site.
3. Provide admin support to the site supervisor where required.
4. Contribute to a positive SHE culture on site.
5. Comply with waste acceptance procedures for incoming materials to site.
We're Looking For
1. A team player who is committed to contributing to the positive performance of the site.
2. Customer focused.
3. Previous experience of working on a weighbridge preferred but full training can be given.
4. Comfortable operating a computer system including Word and Excel programs.
5. Good organisational skills and able to work under pressure and manage workload efficiently.
6. Ability to work at other sites locally in the eastern region.
