With the acquisition of a number of new clients, our team based in Sidcup Kent is expanding, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled Estimator with proven experience in construction/fit-out projects.
You will be responsible for working closely with project teams and support functions, overseeing the commercial and contractual management of our projects, from inception to final account, building strong relationships with our clients and supply chain to achieve the very best commercial outcome of the project.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Preparation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for FM services and commercial fit outs.
2. Conduct thorough cost analysis and value engineering to optimise project costs while maintaining high standards of quality.
3. Undertaking site visits to fully understand the complexity of a project to ensure a full appreciation of all logistical constraints and stakeholder interests.
4. Production of outline method statements within the tender submission, providing clients with a high-level summation of your chosen method of operation.
5. Preparing detailed tender breakdowns, satisfying the requirements of the tender enquiry.
6. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that cost-effective solutions align with industry standards.
7. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying to continuously improve our construction processes.
The ideal candidate should possess:
1. Proven experience as an Estimator in construction projects across hospitality and commercial sectors.
2. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management techniques, with a focus on delivering high-quality projects.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
4. Proficiency in Estimator software and MS Office Suite.
5. Effective communication and negotiation abilities to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
6. Full UK driving license.
