Are you looking for a meaningful way to connect with your community? We have an exciting opportunity for a new care assistant to join our 'Outstanding' island team. If you're looking for some extra weekend or evening work, this could be the perfect position for you!
Where no two visits are the same, daily tasks can include:
Assisting with personal care:
1. Provide medication reminders
2. Help with bathing, dressing and grooming
3. Help with continence care
4. Assist to eat and drink
Home help:
5. Run errands / collect prescriptions etc
6. Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, washing and ironing, taking out rubbish, caring for houseplants etc.)
7. Organise and tidy cupboards and check food expiry dates
8. Plan prepare and tidy away meals
9. Answer the door
10. Assist with pet care
11. Provide Dementia / Alzheimer care
12. Provide respite / convalescence care
13. Assist with morning/wake up and or evening/tuck in
Companionship:
14. Offer companionship and conversation
15. Monitor diet and eating
16. Stimulate and encourage through a variety of activities (for example clothing selection, hobbies and crafts)
17. Arrange and provide reminders for appointments, activities and outings
18. Help with travel arrangements
19. Organise mail and write letters
20. Assist with walking (lending an arm to steady)
21. Accompany to appointments and social events (for example visiting friends or family, lunch, club meetings)

Must hold a full UK driving licence
Qualifications
No previous care experience necessary. We are looking for people from across the community who share in our values to provide compassionate care and get to know our clients as you would your own family.
