Health & Safety Advisor Suffolk Salary: £60-70k Car About the company: Assured Safety Recruitment are excited to be working with a leading Civil Engineering organisation as they expand their Health & Safety team. About the role: Working on a prestigious project in Suffolk, you will become a key member of the Project Delivery team, committed to delivering a project free of accidents and incidents. Duties include but are not limited to:- Provide advice and guidance on risk assessments, method statements, Site Health & Safety Plans Lead project Safety meetings Conduct monthly HSEQ Audits and inspections, ensuring non-conformances are addressed. Represent the Company at Safety meetings with Clients and Sub-Contractors, and attend Project Pre-Start Meetings as well as Sub-Contractor Pre-Start Meetings. Investigate accidents and compile reports with the Project Delivery Team, ensuring that actions for improvement are identified and implemented. Distribute relevant Safety Bulletins. Communicate safety initiatives, notices, and alerts. Liaise with the HSQE Director or Head of Health and Safety to produce monthly Project summaries and assist in procedure reviews. Assist in the development and delivery of in-house safety training programs. Inform staff about changes in technology, work methods, or statutory requirements through safety bulletins and internal safety procedures. Stay updated with client H&S Standards and Specifications, ensuring their implementation at the project level. Develop strategies to achieve targets and promote best practices in compliance with HSE legislation. Perform additional duties as appropriate for this role. About you: The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a site based Health & Safety role. Experience of drainage/groundworks/structures/Reinforced Concrete/earthworks will be particularly advantageous. You will have excellent communication skills and be passionate about safety. You will hold the NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum Health & Safety qualification.
