A Global Centre of Excellence Hydraulics Engineering Director is sought for a permanent position to join an innovative, state of the art group that specialises in advanced technological engineering for the Aerospace, Automotive and Power industries. Unique to this role the Hydraulics Engineering Director can be located in either a locality / Country of the Groups residence as the role will require travel globally up to 50% to facilitate the scope of position. The Hydraulics Engineering Director will be responsible for the Global Delivery Engineering department in response for the delivery of engineering projects, programmes and services to their clients across the globe. The department consists of 4 regions with 13 technical centres servicing the global cross regional delivery needs. The Hydraulics Engineering Director is responsible for identifying and focusing on industry and market trends that affects their domain and ensuring that lines of service are adapted or created to maintain competitive offerings and ensuring processes, methods and best practices are consistently applied across projects in all regions. Key areas of responsibility for the role of Hydraulics Engineering DirectorGlobal responsibility for Technical Excellence for Hydraulics IHMTechnology development and robust delivery to programmes and services Accountability for Gateway delivery to programme and services needs Innovation strategy Strategic Leadership in developing technology roadmaps and delivery execution plans Development and implementation of business, technology and RandD plans that are compatible with Technologies, Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures Awareness of market trends and developments in order to influence and manage the future development of the team Providing appropriate support and guidance to Programme and Project Leads and Engagement Managers to meet client requirements Experience of designing Hydraulic System / Circuit for Construction, Agricultural and Mining Equipment Concept Development, Refinement and Optimisation of Hydraulic Circuits Able to identify the need for special valves like, anti - cavitation valves, pressure relief valves, proportional control valves Good knowledge on hydraulic products from suppliers, with good supplier networkPlease contact me directly to discuss the post of Hydraulics Engineering Director - shortlisted candidates will be contacted prior to submission with further details, however should you wish to discuss your application
