This integral role will develop, lead and implement the service's education and training plan for the centre. The Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for:
* To develop and support the education and training needs of the clinical healthcare workforce.
* To contribute towards the delivery of the strategic aims and objectives set out in the organisational Clinical Education Strategy and Framework at the designated Service.
* To demonstrate clinical expertise and credibility in clinical practice by being a role model at all times.
* To participate in the development of policies and guidelines within the service
* To support the delivery of any research being carried out in the centre and across the organisation to promote evidence-based practice and quality service delivery
The Clinical Nurse Educator will possess the following skills:
* Educated to degree level (level 6 or working towards)
* Registered Clinical Professional (registered with NMC, HCPC)
* Evidence of Practice Supervisor/Practice Assessor training
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* Experience in a clinical role in specialist healthcare
* Working knowledge of training needs analysis, planning and facilitation of adult based learning, mandatory and priority training requirements, different learning styles and application in delivering education and training
* Working knowledge of clinical assessment skills for clinical non-registered and registered staff
* Skilled in coaching and supporting staff and volunteers, appraisals, inductions, mentoring and preceptorship
