This is a dual role, working as a Customer Advisor and Contact Centre Customer Advisor based at the Withernsea Multi-Service Centre.

What you'll be doing
As a Customer Advisor, your role will be to provide a customer and library service ensuring the delivery of a high-quality customer transaction, enquiry, and information service to local residents.
You will engage with customers and local partners to develop and promote the service, including supporting increased use of our self-service information facilities and promotion of our Health Agenda. You will also support activities within the centre such as children's activity sessions and adult groups.
You will be the first point of contact for the public on the telephone, answering enquiries relating to all council services. This will be by telephone but may also include other access channels such as email and web chat.
About you
We are looking for a friendly and confident individual with excellent customer care and organisational skills. You're someone who enjoys working with customers of all ages and can deal with difficult situations effectively, keeping calm under pressure.
You will have excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic approach to delivering good customer service. This is a challenging and demanding role, and previous telephone contact centre experience would be advantageous; however, full training will be given.
This job would suit someone with experience of working with the public. The role can be physically demanding and involves moving around the workplace, assisting customers, moving library stock to and from shelves, restocking display areas, and loading/unloading small crates of library materials/book stock and caddy liner boxes.
