An opportunity has arisen within the Cardiology waiting list team. The main duties of this position are to provide comprehensive and confidential administration support to the Cardiology team. As required, to act as a source of advice and guidance regarding the specialty. The post holder will be responsible for the management of the Cardiology elective waiting list. You will need to have excellent organizational skills and be able to organize busy schedules and diaries. Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to remain calm under pressure is essential. The day to day duties will include handling telephone calls, emails, dealing with patient queries with tact and sensitivity, updating patient records, dealing with confidential information, liaising with the clinical teams and patients to deliver a personal and efficient service. Support the department in meeting elective waiting time targets in line with Trust policy. Main duties include providing a comprehensive admin service to the Cardiology elective teams. The service requirements include ensuring that all of the relevant pre-op appointments are booked following Trust policy. Elective TCI dates are correctly relayed and recorded following the relevant process. All paperwork is correct and up to date, diary management, elective discharge paperwork is complete and to deal with patient queries.
