Job Description
At RSA, our inspiring colleagues are at the heart of what we do best: shaping the future by helping people, businesses, and society prosper in good times and be resilient in bad times. We are a proud member of the Intact family, part of something bigger with a presence in North America, the UK, and Europe.
We’re currently recruiting for our Bright Futures Graduate Programme and looking for those of you who are ready to make an impact in our business. If you’re self-motivated, curious, and determined, then the RSA Bright Futures Graduate Programme will empower you to fulfill your potential.
Role Requirements
This unique 3-year Graduate programme consists of several rotations across our CIO function (Chief Information Office). Every Bright Futures opportunity is a permanent role and is just the start of your career with us. We will ensure you have access to excellent benefits as part of your career development, including a comprehensive development plan to accelerate your learning with facilitated sessions focused on enhancing personal attributes. This is supported by a dedicated RSA business mentor, bi-annual networking, early careers community events, and opportunities to make an impact in your community through annual volunteering days.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include creating and debugging test scripts, reconciling automated test scripts against requirements, reporting gaps in test coverage, analysing log files, and assisting with test script execution optimisation. In addition, you will be required to suggest improvements to frameworks, test cases, log files, data files, and cucumber feature files.
The Individual
We want your individualism, capability, and ambition to shine through. You will need to have a zest for continuous learning and a willingness to invest time to develop further software development skills and knowledge.
You will need a Bachelor's degree or be on track to obtaining at least a 2:2 bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related Technology-based subject.
The best attributes to have for this role are proficiency in programming languages, such as Java, with an analytical and curious mindset.
Applicants should be eligible to work in the United Kingdom. Skilled worker sponsorship may not be available for this role at this time due to the salary offered for this role.
About Us
At RSA, we put our people first. We have adopted hybrid working as standard, to give you a better work/life balance and an excellent flexible working mindset. That is on top of a comprehensive range of benefits, including pension contributions of up to 11%. We’ll give you countless opportunities to continuously develop, alongside a diverse and passionate community of experts – the best the industry has to offer.
You’ll be empowered to be your best self, do your best work, and make a meaningful impact. Our employee promise allows you to shape the future, win as a team, and grow with us. We celebrate individuality and it’s important to us that we have a culture where our people feel respected and valued for who they are. We pride ourselves on being accessible and encourage inclusive environments where our people can always give and show the very best of themselves.
We understand that home life is a priority and are happy to consider reduced hours or job shares. If you think you would be a great fit for us, but don’t meet all the requirements of the role, please contact us as we’d love to discuss how RSA could be the next step in your career journey. Please let us know if there are any changes we could make to the application process to make it easier and more comfortable for you.
