Job Description
We are looking to recruit a full-time Commercial Gas and Plumbing Engineer based on site in the Stamford area. Travel between sites will be required as per the business needs. Salary will be dependent on experience and ACS qualification gained from the list below, and the value of sponsored training to provide essential qualifications to meet with the criteria of the job.
Key Tasks
1. You will understand and take responsibility for the successful day-to-day repairs & maintenance services based on site or at another reasonable location.
2. You will work proactively and responsibly in conjunction with the MMS management team.
3. You will demonstrate a “can do” attitude, with a desire to achieve company performance targets and deadlines.
4. You will be a valuable team player and possess excellent customer skills, forward thinking and professional.
5. You will need to possess excellent communication skills.
6. You will need to be flexible, adaptable and possess excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. To have adequate technical knowledge to be able to work on their own and carry out gas, heating and plumbing repairs without detailed supervision in the most efficient & economical manner and in accordance with the relevant legislation.
2. Clear understanding of contract requirements & instructions from client and line manager for each job pack to achieve satisfactory completion.
3. To accurately complete all site records & forms, e.g., job packs, risk assessments etc.
4. To carry out co-ordination with others on site, to ensure works are completed within timescales set.
5. To ensure work activities are carried out safely and to high quality.
6. To provide practical solutions to building repairs and installation work.
7. To meet deadlines (response times) for planned and reactive maintenance works.
8. Recognise and communicate with the client and line manager by recording any change or workplace event that may delay or disrupt the job in which the works are to be carried out.
9. To identify procure & progress material requisitions & (follow up deliveries where delegated).
10. To be a dependable & important member of the additional works team and site teams when required.
Essential Qualifications - Training can be funded for the right candidate
* Gas Safe Registered
* City & Guilds Plumbing Apprenticeship Level 3 Mechanical or equivalent
* Knowledge and experience of domestic and commercial gas, plumbing repairs and above ground drainage.
* Gas Safe – ACS qualifications – Training will be provided for the right candidate
* CCN1 - Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety
* CDGA1 - Non-Domestic Natural Gas & LPG Direct Fired Heating Appliances & Equipment
* CENWAT - Domestic Natural Gas And LPG Central Heating/Hot Water Boilers & Circulators, Combination Boilers, Storage Water Heaters & Instantaneous Water Heaters
* CIGA1 - Non-Domestic Natural Gas & LPG Indirect Gas-Fired Heating Appliances & Equipment
* CoCDN1 - Changeover Non-Domestic to Domestic Natural Gas
* CoDNCO1 - Changeover Domestic To Non-Domestic Natural Gas & LPG Core Heating
* HTR1- Domestic Natural Gas & LPG Gas Fires And Wall Heaters
* ICPN1- Non-Domestic Natural Gas & LPG Pipework & Fittings
* MET1-2 - Domestic Natural Gas Meters
* TPCP1- Non-Domestic Natural Gas; LPG; Other Gases Testing And Purging
* TPCP1A- Non-Domestic Natural Gas Testing And Purging
Desirable Qualifications
* OFTEC Oil
* Legionella Awareness and basic training.
* Asbestos Awareness
* PASMA
* First Aid (Appointed Person)
* MEWP 1a, 1b, 3a, 3b

Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
