Finance Analyst - Retail
RETAIL & CENTRAL FINANCE ANALYST | HIGH WYCOMBE
We're looking for a fabulous Finance Analyst to join our finance team and play a key role in overseeing fixed and variable retail costs maintaining high standards of accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and forecasting.
You'll report to the Retail Finance Manager and will partner with department managers, providing robust cost reviews and insight to aid in the business' decision-making.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
1. Cost Management and Analysis: Take ownership of day-to-day cost management, ensuring robust cost control, detailed analysis, and enhanced visibility to drive efficient cost management.
2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and post prepayments, accruals, and journals; deliver monthly P&L reporting with variance analysis to budget, forecast, and prior year.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the monthly flash forecast process, annual budget preparation, and quarterly forecasting, while collaborating with budget holders.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to conduct thorough cost reviews, support business projects, and provide financial guidance to managers.
5. Process Improvement and Transformation: Play a key role in the finance transformation strategy by driving process improvements and enhancing financial and business practices.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
1. Part qualified CIMA/ACCA or qualified by experience.
2. Ability to work autonomously and to tight deadlines.
3. Retail/FMCG experience is desirable but not essential.
4. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical, numerical, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
5. Experience in Oracle or similar ERP systems.
6. Advanced Excel skills are essential.
