Automotive Account Director Experiential Events A dynamic and global event management agency is seeking an ambitious and seasoned Automotive Account Director to oversee a flagship client account in the luxury automotive sector. This senior role offers the chance to work with one of the world’s most prestigious automotive brands on a global scale, managing diverse, high-profile projects across multiple regions and client teams. About the Role As Account Director, you’ll lead a dedicated account team, managing the daily execution and strategic direction of this retained client account. Projects span media launches, test drive programs, brand experiences, conferences, product launches, and retailer training events across the UK, Europe, and other key international markets. Working closely with the Business Development Director, you’ll ensure that all events align with client expectations and deliver outstanding results. This role focuses on relationship management and client satisfaction rather than sales. Key Responsibilities Account Leadership : Act as the primary contact for this major account, ensuring seamless project execution. Project Oversight : Lead large-scale events with budgets ranging from £2.5K to £2.5M, working alongside a skilled team of project managers and support staff. Strategic Planning : Develop creative event concepts that align with client goals in the luxury automotive space. Mentorship : Guide and mentor a project team, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven culture. Ideal Candidate You are a creative and experienced event professional, ideally from the luxury brand or automotive sector, with expertise in managing complex, large-scale events. You bring: Senior-Level Event Experience : Proven background as an Account Director or Project Director ready to transition into account management. Client-Centric Approach : Excellent relationship management skills, with a keen eye for detail in written, creative, and financial work. Team Leadership : A track record of effectively guiding and motivating project teams. Technical Proficiency : Skilled in Microsoft 365, including TEAMS; full driving licence and availability for international travel required. A flexible approach to remote work is supported; however, candidates should be able to commit to the majority of their workweek in the company’s Banbury office.
