Cash Transactions Supervisor - 18 month Minimum Fixed Term Contract

Our client is a multi-billion global Legal business very unique in the field they operate in.
About the Role
The Cash Transactions Supervisor role will be for at least 18 months and is responsible for overseeing and reviewing the day-to-day aspects of the team as well as assisting in the more complex matters across the team's cash transactional responsibilities. This includes ensuring the completion to a high standard of all the daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations from multiple bank accounts and in varying currencies, the preparation and processing of client refunds, and leading all aspects of Accounts Payable to ensure timely issuing of payments across multiple jurisdictions. The role requires line management experience, a methodical approach, and a high level of attention to detail due to the industry's regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Cash Transactions Supervisor will drive change and the ongoing development of the team's current processes.
Primary Responsibilities include:
1. Oversee and review the production of the daily, weekly & monthly bank reconciliations in line with the firm's current processes and policies.
2. Oversee and review the processing of internal and external payments to ensure timely payments across multiple jurisdictions within the agreed time frames.
3. Oversee and review the processes of client refunds.
4. Ensure queries and escalations are handled correctly and promptly through to appropriate resolution.
5. Ongoing review of process documentation, take ownership for all processes, and manage change to ensure robust controls are in place.
6. Line management of team members including objective setting and performance management.
7. Provide a high standard of professional customer service to both internal staff and external clients with high communication skills.
8. Ad hoc duties appropriate to the role (including cover for other finance shared service functions).
9. Complete all Statutory training within the set time frames.
10. Ensure compliance with the Firm's procedures and local country legal requirements, including anti-money laundering legislation.
What You Bring
1. Previous experience as a Cash Transaction Supervisor or in a similar Finance role.
2. Strong line management experience.
3. Knowledge of the Legal industry, particularly in a Finance role.
4. Background in process improvement and implementation with a proactive approach to change.
5. Advanced knowledge of Accounts Payable and Bank Reconciliations.
6. Great numerical and analytical skills.
7. Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
8. Experience using investigative skills.
9. Experience in a multi-currency environment.
10. Experience working with overseas banks.
11. Fluency in written and spoken English.
12. A team player, capable of working towards a common goal.
13. Experience with Excel, Word, and Oracle.
14. Able to deliver to strict deadlines.
15. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
16. Good organizational and prioritization skills.
