Function
This position will leverage the Mortgage Loan Officer’s (MLO) time and productivity by providing administrative and customer contact support to MLOs. Duties include managing customer contact for MLOs, facilitating application data submission to BCMC’s Loan Origination software (LOS), collection of loan documentation from applicants, and communication with applicants, BCMC loan processing staff, and various loan partners (Realtors, appraisers, attorneys, etc.) to facilitate timely loan closings and increase customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
1. Communication with loan applicants under the direction of MLO regarding general information.
2. Collection and input of data to LOS, collection of documentation from applicants, and review of MLO data submission for accuracy and completeness as required.
3. Assist in the management of MLO’s pipeline. Interacts with applicants, BCMC processing staff, and loan partners (Realtors, appraisers, attorneys, etc.) with the objective of reducing loan turnaround time and enhancing customer satisfaction.
4. Assists MLO in the collection and follow-up of all required documentation from applicants. Coordinate follow-up with MLOs and BCMC loan processing staff.
5. Provide required data for preliminary disclosures as required and facilitate information and ordering of appraisal, legal, and insurance services as required.
6. Works with MLOs, applicants, and BCMC processing staff to assure the file is complete and cleared for closing.
7. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and investor regulations and requirements in all activities.
8. Assists MLOs with scheduling and customer correspondence and clerical tasks. Assists with loan officers' marketing efforts as required.
9. Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements
General business knowledge and PC skills required. Experience in a mortgage, loan processing, or marketing environment preferred but not required. Strong communication and customer service skills required. Ability to work in a team environment to produce results under deadline commitments with a minimum of supervision. Employees must have an NMLS license or obtain and maintain a license as a condition of employment.
