* Secure vehicle parking for vehicles, normally following road traffic accident, awaiting insurance inspection or disposal.

The Company operates from key locations across the South. All sites benefit from vehicle repair workshops, a fleet of rescue recovery vehicles and suitable stocks of replacement parts.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Westbourne operates a fleet of fully equipped service vehicles across its working area.
You will be provided with a fully equipped roadside vehicle capable of a wide range of roadside repairs. Vehicles are fitted with the latest diagnostic equipment to quickly identify faults on a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles.
Service vans are fitted with towing equipment capable of recovering the majority of motor vehicles either to a repair workshop or to the customers chosen destination.
The aim of a Westbourne Technician is to safely repair as many vehicles as possible at the roadside. The ethos of Westbourne is to repair more cars than its competitors.
Roadside Vehicle breakdown encompasses breakdowns either at the customers home address or at any location within the UK.
The first priority of the technician is always the care and safety of any customers present with the vehicle.
All makes and models of vehicles are covered and technicians are expected to diagnose and repair the majority of faults at roadside.
Depending on workloads and call times technicians may be asked to carry out further basic repairs to these vehicles in the workshops.
In addition to the repair of vehicles, a roadside technician (where equipped with a suitable vehicle) will recover non repairable vehicles. Recovery use of roadside technicians is normally limited to more local recovery (within 60 miles), with long distance recovery carried out by dedicated recovery drivers.
SALARY
The basic salary is £31,000 per year, with a range of bonus opportunities which have the potential of adding a further £8,000 per year.
SHIFT HOURS
4 days on duty followed by 2 days off, with the same shift start for each 4 days. Changing to a different shift start time after each set of days off.

As the shifts can include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays, youll need to be ready to drive to all kinds of locations, in all weathers, and work quickly and efficiently.
Ideally you will have a minimum of three yearsexperience in a vehicle based industry. We don't like to exclude anyone so if you're good at fixing cars but just don't have the paperwork, we still want to hear from you.
It is essential that you have held a Full Category B Driving Licence for a minimum of three years. For those who need it, training will be provided for towing trailers.
Demonstrable relevant experience in a vehicle technician role, or level 3 qualification.
