This role is ideal for someone with established administrative skills, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running and maintenance of our staff Roster system as well as supporting the Office Manager, Senior Managers and wider Pharmacy team as required.
As well as being able to schedule and prepare meetings, complete concise minutes and action logs, you will need to have a professional telephone manner and be able to respond and prioritise emails and tasks as they arrive. You will need strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service.

• To support the Pharmacy Department and Office Manager with administrative duties.
• Provide clerical support to the department which may include filing, data manipulation, minute taking, organising meetings, producing procedures etc.
• To undertake any other relevant activities as may be necessary to provide a quality service as required
• To act as met and greet for visitors to the department as required
• To dealcourteously with telephone calls from patients, healthcare professionals and any other general enquiries or direct them to the appropriate people. Take messages when required and provide a pleasant and helpful point of contact within a busy department
• Abilityto work under own initiative within the defined processes and procedures

Trust responsibilities:
• To be part of the Pharmacy team to enable the objectives of the Trust to be achieved.
• To contribute to the Trust complying with Medicines Management standards, Information Governance, Clinical Governance and Risk Management.
Operational:
• To undertake as requested across a broad range of issue ad-hoc projects, sometimes requiring preparation and collation of reports for distribution/ circulation.
• To deal courteously with telephone calls from patients, healthcare professionals and any other general enquiries or direct them to the appropriate people. Take messages when required and provide a pleasant and helpful point of contact within a busy department.
Quality:
• To co-operate with staff in other disciplines to help ensure the safe, effective and economic use of medicines.
• To maintain full patient confidentiality when dealing with prescriptions and any other sensitive information.
Management:
• To comply with trust human resources policies with respect to delegated responsibility, disciplinary procedures, recruitment and retention of staff
• Communicateeffectively all pharmacy clinical service issues to other areas of the department and wards etc, on issues that may affect them
