About You: This Digital Marketing Executive role requires experience and understanding in SEO, content marketing, and WordPress website editing. Experience in CRO, website UX, and PPC may also prove useful. The individual will be passionate about the subject, always seeking opportunities for self-improvement and learning. You will not need experience or skills in backlinks or social media for this role. Getting a high volume of work done yet with close attention to detail will pave the way for higher levels of salary. You will have the ability to clearly understand written and verbal instructions from a senior marketing strategist within our team, using initiative at times to interpret the instructions intelligently, but also knowing when it is appropriate to ask for clarification if the instructions are not clear enough. Key Responsibilities: ‘Getting stuff done’ to execute the agreed strategy laid out by the Senior Marketing Strategist Keeping records of progress and managing tasks within our Asana project management software Volunteering ideas and feedback to fine-tune the agreed strategy, where appropriate Cross checking work done by colleagues to ensure it matches the brief, the objectives, and is free from errors Analysing data and creating reports, when requested to do so by the Client Account Manager About The Job: Reporting to a Senior Marketing Strategist, and working alongside a small team of 7, the Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for getting tasks completed within agreed timescales, with attention to detail that minimises the need for cross-checking from colleagues. The role is largely office-based, with the option to work flexibly from a home office on certain days. UClimb can optionally provide equipment to allow a live video link to your home office, to ensure connectivity with the main office. Depending on experience and working hours, the base salary would be in the region of £25,000 to £40,000p/a. A generous and uncapped additional bonus in the form of profit sharing will be available for high-performers. Opportunities for future progression include becoming a client account manager and/or senior lead-generation strategist – someone who decides the tasks for junior team members to work on based on experience of what will deliver results for the client, and is able to effectively project manage and collaborate with a broad range of people to ensure everything happens on time. This kind of job role would typically be paid £40k to £80k per year, depending on responsibility levels. These career progression roles would typically become available after around 1 year of working as a Digital Marketing Specialist, and would be offered to high performers who demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence, communication skills, and leadership ability. Experience: While we are looking for an experienced candidate, we value your character and ethos higher than your experience – skills and experience can be easily learned, character and ethos are harder to teach That said, the following experience will prove valuable in this role: Over 2 years experience, ideally in within a marketing agency, or similar role within a company. Excellent knowledge of online marketing and SEO. Demonstrable understanding of technical SEO considerations. Demonstrable understanding of offsite SEO considerations. Ability to research and write clear, professional and engaging content. Understanding of CRO best practice. Understanding and experience of PPC best practice Experience in conducting keyword and competitor research. Experience and knowledge of Google Search Console and Keyword Planner. Good experience of using, interpreting and administering Google Analytics including advising and implementing on conversion tracking and ROI measurement. Preferable experience with Google Tag Manager and Google Data Studio. Advanced excel / google sheet skills. Experience of using website Content Management Systems particularly WordPress. Able to work to deadlines and prioritise and manage time across multiple clients. Able to write and present campaign summaries. Must be a UK resident or work permit holder.
