This is an exciting opportunity to work for the Bristol North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board in a strategic leadership role. This is a statutory role for the ICB, to work alongside the Designated Nurse for Safeguarding Children to deliver the Safeguarding Children work programme.
There are 6 PAs in total and we are looking for two postholders, either 3 PAs each or one undertaking 2 PAs and the other 4 PAs. Locality facing to be determined.
The role is hosted by Sirona Care and Health under a Service Level Agreement with the ICB. The successful postholder, if outside of Sirona employment will be seconded into these roles from their current organisation. The postholders will work on behalf of the ICB.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the work programmes of the Safeguarding Children's Partnership through task and finish groups revising policy, supporting audits or contributing to new multi-agency processes and guidance.
2. Contribute to statutory safeguarding reviews whether these be Rapid Reviews, Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews, or similar through the lens of Patient Pathway Reviews.
3. Provide expert clinical and medical advice to the ICB safeguarding Team and wider safeguarding partnership on complex cases for example Perplexing Presentations/Fabricated or Induced Illness in children.
The Service Level Agreement has an expiry of 31st March 2027 and therefore the successful postholders will have an agreement with Sirona Care and Health until this time to undertake this role, with possible extension.
