Your day-to-day duties will include: Training new Supervisors, Domestic Assistants and House Porters to high levels of guest service and cleaning standards Carrying out inspections at all locations encompassing student rooms, guest rooms, public areas and back-of-the-house areas Line managing a team of Domestic Assigned in an assigned area Supervising the Domestic Assistants to ensure the delivery of a timely and efficient Housekeeping Service Liaising with student residents to encourage responsible use and care of residential facilities Management of attendance, performance and conduct Liaising with other departments, including Maintenance and Accommodation, as required. To be considered for this interesting role, you will need to have: GCSE Grade C (or above) in Maths or English or equivalent Substantial experience in a Housekeeping supervisory role within a hospitality environment Line management experience The ability to deliver training programs to enhance team skills and performance Detailed knowledge of the usage and application of a range of cleaning products A thorough understanding of the responsibilities of a Housekeeping function Good understanding of relevant Health & Safety provisions, including COSHH, manual handling and lone working The ability to lift, move and bend in order to carry out the requirements of the role, in line with Risk Assessments and after training A good command of the English language. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with a flexible approach to tasks and able to work without direct supervision, prioritising a busy workload. Details of the role The post of Senior Supervisor is a permanent, full-time role. The hours of work are 36.25 hours (Monday-Friday, although some weekend working will be required – for which notice will be given), with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break. The annual salary is £28,330 per annum (Step 35 on the College Salary Scale).
