Derby City Council are looking to recruit to the post of Principal Trading Standards Officer where you will join our busy Fair Trading and Product Safety Team, reporting to the Service Manager.
You will be an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic team player with a passion for meeting challenges head on and delivering outcomes for the good of the city.
It is a line management role but you will also be expected to take on some operational duties. You will therefore be faced with complex challenges requiring you to be methodical, using your problem-solving skills to identify practical solutions, based on sound judgement and reasoning.
You will have a relevant Trading Standards qualification such as the DTS, DCATS or equivalent, along with a relevant management qualification.
