About the Role
JFR, a Product Line within JF Group’s Energy division, is looking for a Tender Manager to join the successful Commercial department. You will collaborate with various teams and be responsible for achieving the Product Line's goals by preparing high-quality tenders, including cost pricing, execution methodology, terms and conditions, and risk analysis for rentals, services, and projects. Your role will involve customer interaction, clarifications, tender updates, support with contract negotiations, and more!
Job Responsibilities
1. Manage bids from receipt of inquiry to submission and contract award.
2. Ensure bids comply with customer requirements and follow the Tendering process.
3. Identify bid elements requiring input from internal departments, define these contributions, request them, manage their delivery and quality, and integrate into the final proposal.
4. Understand all elements of the tender (operational, commercial, contractual, etc.) separately and how they interlink into the overall proposal. Lead or contribute to writing technical proposals with support from SMEs or the wider business when necessary.
5. Manage bids through the internal approval process.
6. Handle client queries, utilizing support from the wider organization.
7. Coordinate with relevant departments to develop technical solutions.
8. Work with Contracts Managers to develop commercial solutions and ensure compliance.
9. Use the estimation cost model to provide robust bid estimates for internal approval.
10. Collaborate with Sales Managers to provide additional information as needed.
11. Keep tender information updated on CRM and assist in future CRM development if required.
12. Package successful bids into handover packages to facilitate project commencement.
13. Lead Pre-Qualifications, working with relevant departments to produce solutions meeting customer requirements.
14. Assist the Senior Tender Manager, Product Line Tender Lead, and/or Head of Tendering to ensure adherence to Bid Management Processes.
15. Contribute ideas, suggestions, and support to improve the overall Tendering process, materials, tools, and related aspects.
About the Candidate
* Previous experience in Tendering, Business Development, Sales, or Commercial functions in industries such as Oil and Gas, Renewables, or Marine.
* Degree or HNC qualification in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience in proposal/tender writing and pricing/estimation.
* Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
* Energetic and passionate about your work.
