Job DescriptionTo provide information and guidance principally concerning the operation of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005, the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982, The Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 (Licensing of Short Term Lets) Order, The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (Scotland) Regulations 2021, The Gambling Act 2005, Smoking Health and Social Care (Scotland) Act 2005 and The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986. To supervise the compliance by licence holders of licence conditions and other requirements, to provide guidance in relation to all aspects of licensing legislation, to provide mediation services for the purpose of avoiding or resolving disputes and to undertake appropriate enforcement action as required.RequirementsThe duties of this post requires access to the public sector network and therefore the successful applicant must complete a basic Disclosure Scotland application. A formal offer of employment with East Ayrshire Council will only be made once satisfactory clearance has been received.
